Draft — pending Ryan's review. This page describes how Whiteboard is built to work. It isn't final legal text yet.
Terms of Service
Last updated October 12, 2026
The agreement
By creating an account or using Whiteboard (the website, the iPhone app, and the connections that let other assistants use it), you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Whiteboard.
Your account
- You need to be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- Keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including actions by assistants you connect to it.
- Tell us promptly at support@whiteboard.ing if you think someone else has access.
Your content
What you put into Whiteboard is yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run the service for you — for example, sending text to our AI provider to understand a capture, or showing your list on your phone. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
Reminders and AI
Whiteboard uses software, including AI models, to interpret what you write and decide when to remind you. It's built to be careful and every action is undoable, but it can misunderstand or be late — networks, phones and push services fail sometimes.
- Don't rely on Whiteboard for anything safety-critical — medication timing, medical, legal or emergency matters — without a backup.
- Check what it creates for anything that matters. Exact-time reminders are delivered as soon as possible, but delivery isn't guaranteed.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- break the law, or use Whiteboard to harass, spam or harm anyone;
- try to access other people's data, or probe, overload or work around the service's security or rate limits;
- resell the service, or use it to build a competing product by scraping it;
- use connected assistants or automation to do any of the above.
Connected services
You can connect other services, like Poke or Claude, or sign in with Google or Apple. Those services have their own terms, and we're not responsible for them. You can disconnect them at any time in Settings → Integrations.
Price and beta
Whiteboard is currently free. Some parts — like the iPhone app on TestFlight — are in beta and may change. If we ever introduce paid plans, we'll tell you well in advance, and nothing you already have will be held back without notice.
Ending
You can stop using Whiteboard and delete your account at any time (Settings → Account). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk; where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.
The legal bits
No warranty
Whiteboard is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Whiteboard isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for missed reminders, and its total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months (currently, nothing).
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
